One of DP World Caucedo’s main advantages is its robust security infrastructure. The port security systems are the most advanced in the industry, along with a unique combination of acquired security certifications.

  • ISPS (International Ship & Ports Security Code) – Certified in July 2004. Caucedo was the first port to be certified in the DR
  • BASC (Business Anti-Smuggling Coalition) – Certified in March 2005
  • CSI (Container Security Initiative) – Certified in July 2006. This certification is similar to the C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism)
  • ISO/PAS 28000, Certified in April 2007
  • Megaport Initiative - Radioactive Scanners – Certified in July 2008

Our focus on security translates into:

  • 24 hour surveillance
  • Manned security gates
  • Access control from land and sea
  • Weapons checks for all incoming vehicles
  • Smart Sensor Cable around perimeter (movement sensitive)
  • Promoter of the R.N.T.T. (truck driver certification) initiative
  • Photo ID/ fingerprint access
  • 65 CC TV Cameras, strategically located
  • 24 hour Monitoring and Video Recording

All these measures allow DP World Caucedo to guarantee the integrity of any cargo handled in the terminal area.
